Wine Dinner

We are pleased to welcome Coral Brown of Brown Estate in Napa Valley. They have been growing grapes since the 1980s and making wine since the late 90s. Brown has a full lineup of wines, but is best known for their zinfandels, many of them single vineyard wines. The dinner is Tuesday July 25 at 6pm, cost is $80/person. Every Tuesday we feature a new menu (in addition to our regular menu) of appetizer-sized items for you to try. These unique small plate selections are great to share and a fun way to try new things.

Spanish Marcona Almonds The ‘Queen of Almonds’, fried and salted, with sliced apple

watermelon with gorgonzola, marcona almonds, fresh tarragon smoked sea salt and chili oil

ceviche lightly cooked shrimp marinated in citrus and Peruvian pepper paste, sliced red onion and garlic

panzanella Tuscan bread salad with tomato, fresh mozzarella, cucumber, onion and basil

toasted ravioli St Louis style beef ravioli with parmesan and marinara dipping sauce

 fish tacos seasoned barramundi, pico de gallo, avocado, shredded lettuce, queso fresco, chipotle cream

 

 

Obscure Wine of the Month 

We will stay in Spain for this month’s wine. Verdejo is an uncommon, light-bodied white wine that grows almost exclusively in Spain. The wine is an outstanding alternative to wines like Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. Satisfy your inner ‘wine geek’ and try something new.

Dinner for Two

Our ‘Dinner for Two’ feature is a great four-course meal that includes a bottle of wine and is possibly the best dining value in Grand Rapids. Every month we create a new menu using the best seasonal ingredients:

First Course: Pan Fried Gnocchi with prosciutto, artichokes pesto cream (one order to share)

Second Course:

Third Course:

Panko Crusted Salmon with herbed risotto and chef’s vegetable

Cilantro-Lime pork chipotle cream, black beans and rice

Lemon Risotto with Shrimp and Tomato
